A Suction Catheter is a device used to remove secretions from the oropharyngeal, nasopharyngeal and tracheobronchial tracts.
The catheters are part of a vacuum system, consisting of a vacuum pump or hospital pipeline system, with tubing to a receptacle to receive the secretions and tubing from the receptacle to the suction catheter.
